About us

Moving Muscle is a US marketplace where people hire independent moving helpers by the hour. It's the middle ground between doing a move all on your own and paying a full-service moving company.

We've found product-market fit and are now in our growth stage. We're a small team and intend to stay that way: a few highly leveraged people with mixed skill sets, using AI in nearly everything we do.

The role

You'll work on how Moving Muscle looks and shows up in the world: our website, the content that brings people to it from search, and the images and video behind our ads and social media.

You'll work closely with our founder, who sets the direction and knows exactly where the company needs to go. Your job is to take that direction and run with it: build it, make it look great, see whether it worked, and improve it. AI does a lot of the hands-on work. You guide it, and you learn to spot when what it gives back isn't good enough.

It's a marketing role at heart, but we want an engineer doing it. When AI handles so much of the execution, the hard part is thinking in systems, understanding data, and having an eye for design. That's what we're hiring for, and the rest you'll pick up here.

What you'll work on

• Rebuild our website. Take our marketing site off Webflow and into code, redesign it, and set it up to scale. This is your first big project.

• Build out our SEO content. Create the pages and templates our AI content system publishes into, so every page is useful and good to look at. The goal is for Moving Muscle to be the name people and AI search think of for DIY moving and hiring moving help.

• Make and test ads. Create image and video ad variations with AI tools, run them against each other, see what performs, and bring ideas for what to try next.

• Create social content. AI video (Higgsfield and similar) and imagery for our social channels and marketing campaigns.

You might be a fit if

• You've built things yourself, and they look good. We want to see them.

• You've built websites in a modern stack like React, and you're curious about how things work underneath.

• You use AI tools every day and you're getting better at telling good output from bad.

• You're comfortable with numbers: analytics, conversion rates, test results, or you're eager to learn.

• You pick things up fast, and you'd rather figure something out than wait to be told.

• You're comfortable working and communicating in English.

Bonus points for AI image or video tools, Figma or Adobe, Google Analytics or Google Ads, SEO, or motion design and video editing. Nobody has all of this. Come with the fundamentals and the drive, and we'll build the rest together.

We care much more about what you've made and how fast you learn than about how many years you've been working. If you're early in your career and hungry, you're exactly who we're looking for.
