Your journey as a Lead Software Engineer:
As a Lead Software Engineer at Volis, you will play a key role in building our platform for the mining industry, from technical vision to production. You will join a small team where your decisions shape both the product and the way we build it. You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the technical vision: Define architecture, technical standards and priorities for the platform, balancing speed of delivery with long-term scalability.
- Stay hands-on: Write code, review pull requests and tackle the hardest technical problems alongside the team.
- Develop the team: Mentor engineers, give regular feedback and help grow the team as the company scales, including taking part in hiring.
- Ship with quality: Own engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, observability and code review, so we deliver reliably and predictably.
- Directly impact the business: Work closely with the business to turn real operational needs in mining into well-scoped technical solutions.
What we are looking for:
- Solid engineering foundations: Experience building and running production software, with deep knowledge of software design, data modeling and APIs.
- Technical leadership: Experience leading technical decisions and guiding other engineers through architecture choices, code reviews and mentoring.
- Ownership mindset: Proactivity, autonomy and a passion for solving complex problems.
- Results-oriented: Ability to deliver projects with quality and within established deadlines.
- Curiosity and continuous learning: Willingness to learn new languages and paradigms. Our stack is Clojure, React, Postgres and GCP, and we care more about strong fundamentals than about prior experience with any specific tool.
- Fluency in English: It is essential as we have English-speaking clients.
