The mission
We're building Fly's first product team, and we need a senior designer with agency to own the design of our products. You won't inherit a process or polish what already exists. You'll define how Studio, Hub and FlyControl evolve, with users one desk away.
What you'll do
In your first 90 days:
- Shadow creators in real production and run a UX audit of our products
- Build quickstarts that make new users productive from day one
- Redesign live flows using our design system, and contribute back to it
- Measure adoption of redesigned and key flows
- Document interface patterns for AI
Day to day:
- Prioritize based on data and user pain points
- Work closely with product and engineering in short delivery cycles
- Raise the design bar on the team, alongside a junior Product Designer
What we're looking for
Non-negotiables:
- Agency and autonomy: you act without waiting to be asked and prioritize based on data and user pain
- Evidence-based user depth: adoption is the company's number one problem, and you have the methods and tools to move it
- AI fluency: engineering, product and the software itself all run on generative models. You feel at home in that environment
You probably:
- Have solid experience as a Product Designer, with a portfolio of digital products in real use
- Own the full process: research, flows, UI and prototyping
- Have worked with design systems and adoption metrics
Nice to have:
- Experience with creative tools, the creator economy or media
- Experience designing interfaces for generative AI products
- You prototype in code or with tools like Framer, v0 or Cursor
